Who can submit?

JRISA welcomes submissions from scholars at different stages, including secondary school students, university students, graduate researchers, independent researchers, professionals, and established scholars.

Do I need to be affiliated with a university?

No. Independent researchers and student researchers are welcome to submit.

Does JRISA publish student research?

Yes. Student research is welcome when it has been appropriately developed into a scholarly manuscript and meets the journal’s academic and ethical standards.

Does my study need to be groundbreaking?

No. JRISA does not require every manuscript to demonstrate major novelty. Exploratory studies, replication studies, literature reviews, preliminary analyses, null findings, small-scale research, and other academically meaningful work may be suitable.

Is publication guaranteed?

No. All submissions undergo editorial screening, and manuscripts proceeding beyond screening undergo peer review. Participation in an educational program, mentorship program, research program, or other service does not guarantee publication.

Can I submit a literature review?

Yes. JRISA accepts Review Articles, Mini Reviews, and Systematic Reviews. A literature review should synthesize and analyze scholarship rather than simply summarize a collection of articles.

Can high school students publish without a professor?

Yes. A professor or research mentor is not required as a coauthor. Authorship should reflect actual scholarly contribution.

Can my research mentor be a coauthor?

Yes, if the mentor meets the journal’s authorship criteria. General supervision alone does not justify authorship.

Can I use AI when writing my manuscript?

Responsible use of AI-assisted tools is permitted subject to the journal’s AI Policy. Authors remain responsible for all content and must disclose substantive generative-AI use.

Does JRISA guarantee Google Scholar indexing?

No. JRISA structures its website and article metadata to support discovery by scholarly search systems, including Google Scholar, but external indexing services independently determine coverage.

Does JRISA have an impact factor?

JRISA does not claim a Journal Impact Factor or other metric unless one has been independently assigned and can be verified.
